In exchange for two class A pitchers. A nice bullpen arm to supplement Linebrink and Hoffman. I like. ;-D

Should be a nice add. Having Williamson - Linebrink - Hoffman is nasty.

Good trade for the Padres. This was I guy I wanted Ricciardi to target until he got Accardo last night(a better reliever, IMO with potential for more in the future).

The two prospects are Fabian Jimenez and Joel Santo:
Jimenez and Santo, Towers said, "are a long ways away. They're fringe prospects, but you never know. We felt some of the other pitchers in our system were closer to the big leagues."

Jimenez is 5-7 with a 4.43 ERA in 17 starts at Fort Wayne. He has struck out 54 and walked 52 in 87 1/3 innings.

Santo is 6-6 with a 5.38 ERA in 20 games, 15 as a starter. He's 20-29 with a 4.92 ERA in 87 career Minor League appearances, 72 as a starter.

Haha, I know our farm system yet I had never heard of Jimenez. Williamson's career numbers are pretty stellar and Bochy has a long track history of success with bullpen arms. Adding this arm to the bullpen with the best WHIP and save percentage in the NL can only be a good thing. Good work KT. Now get us a third-baseman. ;-D

The Reds would have given up Adam Dunn for Williamson.
Chris Iannetta was born on Krypton and transported to Earth as an infant and saves the universe when he's not getting on base every plate appearance.

Somehow I don't think that that is true.

The Phillies would have given up Flash Gordon for Williamson.
