I had a pitching blow-up earlier this year that I was oddly able to sneak out of ... it's my
Fantasy Anomoly of the year.
I had John Burkett on the mound. He was pitching the Patroit's Day (a Mass state holiday) game in Boston. These games start very early on the Monday Holiday, 11 or noon, a very odd start time.
I happened to be listening to the game on the radio and Burkett was getting lit up something fierce in the first or second inning.
I couldn't remember if I had started him. So I went to my computer to check and found that because the game had started so early, the rosters for the week had not closed yet, so I was able to Reserve him while the game was going on.
In years of playing I'd never had anything like that happen before -- and I still feel a little guilty about it
