What is Nick Swisher's deal???

You might be right to a certain extent about Swisher's first half numbers.

I think, at least as far as the batting average goes, he was WAY ahead of his projections.

But as far as the other numbers, he had decent power numbers for a rookie last season, and this is only his second year. Actually, in the minors, he had a very "livable" OBP and OPS.....I don't think there's any reason to think he won't continue his power and on-base numbers into the second half.

BA, however, is right back to about where it should be.

swish is very streaky......look for him to catch fire in the next few weeks....he lost some weight, and his confidence is down......bottom line is the fans love him, he gives 110%, and he will be back, but he may not be as good as those first half numbers..personally, I think D Johnson should be at first...and Swish in right field....The A's lineup should be

RF Swisher
3B Chavez
DH Thomas
LF Bradley
SS Crosby
1B Johnson
CF Kotsay
C Kendall

This is the ideal lineup...I dont understand Macha or Beane sometimes

Thats the kiss of death for him in H2H leagues where you have to set your lineup one week at a time - I tried to trade him for a 3rd tier pitcher - no bites

Man, not if you play in a league that counts OBP rather than BA. Then he's a bonified hall-of-famer. Guess it's about context.
