What is Nick Swisher's deal???

Postby SammyRulz » Sat Jul 22, 2006 1:26 pm

traded for him right before ASB, and he has just blown since I got him..
Traded penny for swisher at the time, it seemed even, but I have suffered thru him in the process. someone said that he had Mono, which explains his power loss, but what really is the deal//anyone in the Oak area know??
or anyone at all??

thanks

He's always been a streaky player, albeit in a short career. I'd be a little bit patient. He's a pretty solid player who will have cold spells followed by super-hot ones.

yeah, i think he has to turn it around here pretty soon...he is just too good to be doing this poorly...also the A's have always been known as a second half team...i feel that as the guys around him start performing he will as well

just give him time to figure out his problems on your bench...all in all, he has too much value to drop and too little value right now to trade...all you can really do is wait it out

I have both Penny and Swisher on my team....

What has Penny done for you lately? Haha....

As of right now they both stink to high heavens.

Swisher had food poisoning as well. I've been through it. Trust me, you would rather die. It takes some time to work your way back to a normal state. He'll get there.

That said, I traded Swish for Issy right before the ASB (I needed saves). It was a tough decision, but the other owner is freakin' right now. Swish will be fine.

He lost 10 pounds due to the food poisoning and said yesterday that he finally is feeling like his strength is coming back.

Honestly, he was never projected to play as well as he did this first half, perhaps he is falling back to earth. The weight loss doesn't help. But I was thinking about buying low, but will hold off for now.
