are we in for a bad second half? is now the time to sell high before the meltdown, i know he had a couple of bad starts but last night was promising, should we sell now while we have a chance to get someone good, or will he turn it around and have a stellar aug. and sept?
I think he'll be fine the rest of the year. I think its interesting that if you take away his 3 starts against the Cubs(26 IP, 0 ER), he's got a 4.29 ERA!! Thats almost a full run higher. Also, check out his home/away splits!! 2.60 ERA at home, and 4.37 on the road. I think he's a solid #3 starter, and a great #4. But not quite as good as some people have been touting him.
i feel the same way about cappy.. i also have sheets on my keeper team, and i feel hes the better guy from here on out.. so i traded cappy+damon+ramon hernandez+borowski for victor martinez and rios damons another guy whos an injury waiting to happen.. and borowski may blow up one of these days..
Capuano is not elite, but he is the definition of a solid pitcher. Good K numbers, and he has thrown quality starts in almost every single game this season. In fact, he leads MLB in quality starts. Very few pitchers have his kind of consistency.
I think Cappy will be fine. He has had a rough patch, but like the previous poster stated, he leads the league in quality starts. Can't ask for much more from someone you drafted in the middle rounds.
Basically I'm complicated.
I have a hard time taking the easy way
I wouldn't call it schizophrenia
But Ill be at least two people today

Yea hes not gonna be elite, but hes gonna be a good 2-3 guy on your staff probably.
