He recently signed with Scott Boras also. That's just going to make him more expensive to keep/aquire next year. I don't think he gets traded.

Word. Boras loves testing the Free Agent Market so there is no way he gets traded. (and Oakland is known to keep there free agent players and not trade them, they use them for the playoff push and run)

I am with you there, I don't think any GM wants to trade for him now and Oakland is not going to give him away. So I think they'd like to take the 2 draft picks from whoever sign him in the offseason. Probably Dodgers, Angels, or the Yanks....

Actually I see Dodger written all over him.
I've read that he's from LA and loves being on the west coast. As long as LA comes even close to what he wants (which I fully expect them to anyway) I think he signs with them.
I happen to like Zito so the thought of him being a Yankee repulses me. Zito's a laidback, free-spirit type whom I don't think would thrive in NY. They took the wild-haired, goateed (albeit drug-ingesting) Jason Giambi I liked and turned him into the clean-cut Yankee he is now. It'd be a shame to see that happen to Zito, personally.

Supposedly Giambi and Damon are lobbying for him to come to the Yanks next year.

Everyone seems to be leaving out the Mets. Supposedly, Zito said he would love to play in NY -- be it the Bronx or Queens. The Mets will have the money to sign him and Rick Peterson to lobby for Zito in Flushing in 2007.
