What's the news? Will his tendinitis limit him for the rest of the year or will he get healthy and go on one of his second half tears?

He should be better in the 2nd half, but I wouldn't count on a typical Chavez 2nd half surge because of the tendinitis.

He's sitting on the ww in our league. I'm tempted to pick him up, but would like to see a little production out of him first.

I just don't know. It sounds like it'll bother him the rest of the year. I'm not sure how much it'll affect him. I'm seriously considering trading him if I can get something for him. He is one of my favorite players, and he's usually great from June on, but so far he's been terrible and it's because of the injuries. I'm hoping he'll be ok, but I don't know what to expect from him.

Yeah, I've got him in a few leagues and have started trying to move him for something. If it came down to dropping him or someone that's contributing it would probably be him at this point.

I was thinking about dropping him as well in my one league. The tendinitis is going to affect is numbers. I doubt if anyone will take him for a trade because of his issues.

Is the move to the 8 spot a sign that the A's have given up on Chavez having a productive second half?

Chavez wasn't originally in the lineup last night against Beckett and Boston but asked Ken Macha to put him in it. Only weird thing was, he asked Macha to bat him 9th, Macha instead bumped him up a spot and batted him 8th. That can't be a good sign at all.

Chavez wanted to go on the DL. The only reason why he is playing is for his defense, which does nothing for fantasy owners. He wanted to bat 9 because he knows he can do nothing to contribute to the offense so he didn't wanna take up a good spot in the lineup...

Dont look for a rebound unless he gets some rest on the DL...

Chavez has his first multi-hit game since June 16th. 2 singles. Can you say On Fire
