I just don't want to get Kemped again. Thought I read that he's not going to be around too long, and possibly platooning with Green/Gonzalez.

I mean, I am in a 15 deep team (6 keeper) league, but that and i'd say any 12 team keeper is not deep enough to even consider keeping Quentin. His non-keeperablility right now and the chance he won't play every day is not too attractive.

[whine] But he didn't even have double-digit HRs in the minors this year! [/whine]

:*)

I'm just praying that he doesn't get to 130 ABs by the end of the year, so that I can keep him in my minors system until 2008 opens up.

I just want to add one more thing that, like everyone else here, is entirely my opinion. Quentin's value, to me, seems to favor H2H leagues (AVG, OBP, if you're playing cats). He seems to be the kind of guy who will put up solid and consistent production, even if it's not overwhelming. My hope for him is that he'll stabilize my outfield, allowing me to take chances on some streakier players that could help me win. If I get more than that from them, then that's just gravy.

This is right on. He is a very consistent player. Rarely will he impress you with a standout day or a five or six day hot streak, but he will be consistent. I've heard Magglio comps and that's pretty good. I'd say a little less power and not quite as good of an average. I think he'll be very consistent year to year, putting up something along the lines of .300-25-8. He's still a year or two away from those numbers, though I think he's advanced for a prospect and could contend for ROY next year if he doesn't use his rookie status this year.

He also will not play everyday. Hopefully the D'backs move Green/Gonzo - if they don't, I'm not sure whst the plan is.
