Only thing I can assume is that is wrist is sore and they are taking it easy on him with this being a lost year anyway, no reason to risk your star player.

OK, I'll speak the unspeakable -- is it time to think about dropping DLee for ... say, Adrian Gonzalez?
He's been a shadow of his former self since coming off the DL. Wrist injuries can nag worse than a trophy wife. And now with this regular bench-warming...
In a dynasty league I actually acq Adrian Gonzalez. But I find it hard to pull Derek Lee. My bench has guys like Kevin Mench(im starting an OF of Murton, Baldelli, Matthews), Corey Patterson and either Barrett or McCann. Im thinking of benching Lee, playing Gonzo at 1B and using Barrett/McCann at C/UTI, esp until Patterson gets hot again then he might play over Baldelli in CF.
I just find it hard to remove Lee not only from my line-up but in a normal fantasy league from my team. But wrist injuries are tricky.
lee has been on my bench in my 10 team H2H league and will stay there until he starts hitting again. sexson and huff are in there at 1st and util for him
I've been living with Nick Johnson as my first baseman since Lee went down. I tried using Lee after he came back but he just hasn't produced, so Johnson went back in. Hardly an ideal scenario.
I have a very shallow bench and hate wasting a bench spot. But I can't really drop Lee, especially in a keeper league. I'd love to pick up Adrian Gonzalez, but I don't have a bench spot to use on a guy who might just be in a hot streak.
Listen to Fantasy 411 on MLB.com today -- there are rumors that the Cubs are considering shutting Lee down for the remainder of the year. Again, it's just a rumor but it got quite a bit of airplay/discussion today. Worth a listen if you are a Lee owner.
derrek lee was overvalued at the beginning of the season anyways. he had one great season last year and about six mediocre ones before that, and lotsa ppl picked him in the first or second round.
oh well, either way this is awful news for D. Lee owners
Derek Lee is mediocre? Really? Here are his numbers since 2002 when he started to come into his own.
2002 .270 27 86 19/28 -- one SB short of the 20/20 Club for a 1B
2003 .271 31 92 21/29
2004 .278 32 98 12/17
2005 .335 46 107 15/18
So yes, last year was his best year, but I will take 30+ 90+ 15+ from a starter anytime, he is consistent, he is reliable. Those are solid, solid numbers to me.
