Please give me some help with starts...

Okay, after my last spot start with Shields, I'm feeling very insecure with any spot starts. I wouldn't post this, but I'm seriously scared now. The guys I'm considering are written first, the pitcher he's facing second.

Tomorrow:

Traber vs. Cornejo (DET)...scared...scared...I fear the mighty Detroit offense after Scot Shields.
Day vs. Padilla (PHI)...Padilla's been ice cold lately with a 6.89 ERA in his last three starts. But, the Phillies have a good offense.
Jason Johnson vs. Harden (OAK)...I don't know...A's have a weak offense.

Wednesday:

None. I was considering Lawrence vs. Schilling, but I'm gonna go with no, because I'm only gonna stand for really good spot starts now (ERA below 3, WHIP below 1.2)

Thursday:

Redding vs. LA (Alvarez). Redding gave up 3 ER to the Reds earlier this week. I'm probably going with him here, since I think he'll do better this time.

Anyway, like I said, I only want really high quality starts, no borderline ones. I want an ERA below 3.5 with a WHIP below 1.2. I'm leaning towards starting Day and Redding. I can start as many as I want, or none. Thanks.

If I had to pick...I would go with Johnson and Redding...but honestly, I would not start any of them...

I'm probably gonna start Redding because he should bounce back from a subpar performance vs. Cincinnati (considering how much they suck at hitting), but I'm probably gonna bench Johnson. The A's offense has been on fire lately, for some reason. It looks like the injuries have given them some fire to win the AL West. Oh well, I picked up both Johnson and Day, I'll make my decision tomorrow.

Thanks for the help guys, I think I'm gonna start Redding and bench the others. Day's been on a tear and Padilla's been pitching awful, but the Phillies' offense has too much potential. The A's are lighting it up lately, so Johnson's gonna ride the pine. I got Cliff Lee to start vs. Detroit, so that should be good if he doesn't follow Shields' path.
