i just downloaded gimp 2 and tried to put text on a sig i am working on and it says that gimp 2.2 has experienced a problem then shuts down. has anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions about what i should do to fix this?

yeah others have spoken about this problem...my suggestion:

get photoshop

I also recently downloaded GIMP and ran into some problems but I easily fixed them using this help page:

http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/faq.html

Should solve any problems you have with GIMP for Windows ;-D

the easiest way to correct this problem is get Photoshop
