does anyone else think that he might be out of a job since Betemit is playing out of his mind?

I've held on to Giles all year . . . until about 1/2 hour ago. I just dropped him for B.J. Upton who should be up any day now to fill my MI spot. I still like Giles but he's been battling nagging injuries all year and he's too much of a free swinger to adapt to the leadoff role. He is great in the #2 spot in the lineup but that firmly belongs to Renteria now. Betemit has been on fire at the top of the lineup so my guess is Giles will a) begin platooning and b) be moved down in the lineup when he returns. Giles shoud be a great "buy low" canidate NEXT year but he's been wasting space on my roster for long enough. Get him cheap in '07 but give him the '06 hook.
