Dave Bush threw 1.2 innings tonight in relief. Anyone heard anything about this? Is this move perminant?

I believe he just came in to pitch to give the bullpen a rest

Not sure why he was in there, but he's still listed as the probable for Saturday: http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/prob ... p?c_id=mil

The list was updated recently too as Sunday was TBA yesterday and lists Sheets today.

once again..it was just to give the bullpen a rest..it couldve been his day to throw a bullpen session so instead they put him in a game to get the work in.

I was reading somewhere that if teams let their top starters pitch in a game between their starts instead of just a bullpen session, they'd get more innings out of their top starters, which would be better for the team. Not sure what it involves for the pitcher, but it sounds like a reasonable idea.

It was indeed his day to throw a bullpen.
