Melky Cabrera

I'm in a playoff race in one of my leagues and I need a 4th OF/Util guy since Edwin Encarnacion/Andre Ethier doesn't play everyday and Milton Bradley is always an injury risk. So I went out and traded Wes Bankston(I like him but he asked for him and I have Kouzmanoff and Garko too so I think I'll be fine) for a draft pick(since the Yankees is 2nd to last in the AL and won't finish higher or lower-because the Royals stinks-than that.) I expect a top 5 pick next year to choose from Arizona/Tampa Bay's 2006 draftees and leftover prospects.

Let's just do a quick prediction
1. Evan Longoria
2. Max Scherzer
3. Brook Brown
4. somebody

I expect to get a Desmond Jennings type out of this pick.

and along with that I got Melky Cabrera. Who I have some concern with playing time once Sheffield comes back. But I'll worry about that when that happens and Sheff stay healthy. Now Melky isn't a very good prospect according to just about everybody. Seem to have good fundamentals when it comes to hitting(more bb than k, high contact rate) and fielding(strong OF arm). But everybody says he doesn't have "tools"(and I'm big on tools). He hit 3 of his 4 HRs in the last month so is the power coming a little bit? What type of players can Melky develope into is the question. I think he can develop into a .300 hitter with good OBP and 20 HR power. He's only 21 and look a bit stocky to me.
