This year the Mexican Stars are making their first appearance at the GFI. Here is a little write up about them.
Ramssey Ochoa and Oscar Barreras are familiar names to GFI fans. But other names such as Mendes, Padilla, Alvarado, Miranda and Valenzuela are not. However, they all have one thing in common. They are from Mexico. The Mexican Stars are a travelling tournament team and will be making their first appearance at the GFI. This summer they have been playing in the SPBL of Los Angeles and have had an excellent season. Ochoa himself leads the league in hitting with a .453 average. On the mound his ERA is 2.28. We welcome the Mexican Stars to Grand Forks.
