Anyone know about change that lowered Maddux's ERA

Saw his ERA took a decent dip today, any info. Someone said it was from a game 8 weeks ago. Just making sure it doesn't effect my weekly head to head scores.

A scoring change has taken place for a game pitched by Maddux on May 24th in which an error is now scored and he loses 5 ER from his line. It goes from 6IP, 6ER to 6IP, 1ER

This probably wouldnt effect roto leagues very much but I have to wonder how this would effect H2H games because Maddux at the time was in a lot of lineups coming off his hot April. Do you think the fantasy sites will go back and change outcomes of H2H matchups? 5ER is pretty significant for a week's worth of IP.

That's kinda weird it took them that long. Will the scoring be changed for those weeks? Could definately make a difference down the stretch.

well well well, whaddaya know, i go back to that date to see my lineup and i did indeed start maddux.

Talk about a delayed change, shouldn't there be some rule where after 3 weeks your just out of luck? Maybe I can call up some of my starters I've had and make them appeal a scoring change. Lord knows I've had some questionable calls kill an outing or two.

I found some more info on this. Yahoo! will be changing maddux's (and Hanley Ramirez's) numbers on Sunday to reflect the scoring change.

If you go to your Yahoo league page and add 'statcorrections' to the end of the url you will see the items come up.

However, there is a line at the bottom of this page that says if a correction is made after a current week, they will not change head to head results, so this will only effect roto leagues. Still, this lowers my team ERA by 4 points, from 3.90 to 3.86. Considering the guys next to me are 3.82 and 3.96, this is huge.
