i'm not too high on phil nevin this season, i mean, he DID have a stank 2002 campaign after all.

in 107 games / 407 PA, he hit .285/12/57, and this is after .303/31/107 and .306/41/126 in '00 and '01. this season, thus far, he's .252/4/17 in just over 100 plate appearances.. so looking at 00-01, that'd be roughly 540 PA. a multiplier of 5.05.

so take his .252/4/17 and it works out to .252/20/86 which isn't HORRIBLE, but still not like phil nevin like you'd hope to be getting.

he started off quick too, so i think next season will be pivotal for him.. after a big ol injury that wiped out 2/3 of this season, and a possible injury-ridden '02 that was definitely 3 or 4 steps back from where he was the years before, will he come back from all of htat and produce .300/30/100 again? that'll be a testament to mister nevin.

a-ram is kinda inconsistent, but he seems to be somewhat clutch for the cubs in the early goings at chitown, so he's not that horrible. beltre prolly isn't going to hit .300 over an extended stretch, but his power and rbi #s have a solid chance of being there. who else is on your luist? i forget. i personally nabbed beltra and even dmitri young, who was sitting htere in FA, 3b eligible, and all that fun stuff.

Heh, I thought you were going insane with Spiezio first until I saw that they weren't in any particular order. :*)

Let's see...if this were for now:

1. Ramirez
2. Beltre
3. Nevin
4. Teixeria
5. Spiezio

For the rest of the year:

1. Ramirez
2. Nevin
3. Beltre
4. Teixeria
5. Spiezio

I personally think Beltre's gonna cool down some...I could be wrong, though. I expect at least one of Beltre and Ramirez to keep the hitting up. I think it will be Ramirez, but it could very well be Beltre. Nevin could break out this year, or not break out at all until next year.
