Tim's latest start was amazing, again. 5.2 innings, 1 H, 2 BB, 11 Ks. For a so called two pitch pitcher, he's pretty damn good, 11 K's and a 10 K performance B2B is legit.
One of the top SF front office guys was on Fantasy Focus on XM 175 a week or two ago with John Sickels and said of Lincecum's role: "He'll start, relieve, whatever we need at the time he's ready."
He has been good but it is only A ball right now, which really isn't much of an upgrade from where he was in college. He's not going to get away with 2 pitches as a starter as he moves up the ranks and especially in the bigs. Looks good right now though.....

I've read that Lincecum's fastball and curveball are already plus pitches, while he also features a changeup and slider. Where are his other pitches now?

I've read that he stopped throwing the slider because it wasn't any good. But you can be fine as a starter in the MLB if you have 3 solid pitches(2 of them great)
let's see how his changeup will do.
Are you interested in joining a 28 teams dynasty league? If so, PM me.
Will they rush him to the majors to be a RP. Or will he stay in AA?
Lincecum has been in A+. He started in short season Salem-Keizer then got promoted to San Jose.
The Giants shouldn't be considering calling Lincecum up as a RP. They already did that with Jonathan Sanchez earlier this year, a move that likely stalled the lefty's development. Lincecum shouldn't be played around with, too.
