Weaver hasnt pitched in how long before last night?
anyway, lets give Duncan some time to work with the guy. NO one should have realistically expected him to be good in his first start with us, after sucking all year long AND being off for almost a month.
I think given time he can be servicable.

Although his line was pretty awful, Weaver still worked the count on the batters and mccann's GS came after he fouled off about 4 or 5 good pitches...the pitch he hit it out on was right on the corner...Weaver isn't much of a fantasy option but he's a lot better than fat Sidney

I'm starting Ponson in a H2H league w/ weekly roster transactions.... i think he can get me 25-30 points as a 2 start pitcher

Weaver was good in 2004 and 2005. Ponson was horrible in 2004 and 2005. Granted, both have been bad in 2006. But just based on Weaver being better in 2004 and 2005, I have much higher hopes for Weaver. Plus, if you look at Weaver's K/BB rates, and his historically lower WHIP rate, this isn't a contest. Weaver.

Does your league give positive points for earned runs?

LOL... good one
what's even funnier is that Ponson scored more then twice as many points as R. Oswalt today.... 25 is definately acchievable if he can get a W on sunday

Ponson was servicable today. The early HF marred his outing.
