left last nights game, anyone know how serious yet and if he should be benched?

Alex Rodriguez (3B) NYY is not in the starting lineup for the Yankees for tonight's game against the Mariners, according to ESPN. Rodriguez fouled a pitch off his toe last night and was scheduled for X-rays this morning.

Before anyone panics, please notice that ARod is 4-25 with 6 KOs against tonight's pitcher Joel Pineiro so it's pretty reasonable that of all nights, tonight is one for some good rest.

Here's the latest on Arod.

He'll be out for tonight's game. Had Xrays today, results were negative. He'll get the day off and will be available for pinch hitting duties.

X-Ray shows that nothing is broken, so I would guess he would come back around the Jays series.
