Yeah, that's what I hate about these awards. You'll never see a hockey player win any of them, (with the exception of course being, the best NHL player). Ovechkin probably scored the best goal I've ever seen in my life this season, but it wasn't even nominated for best play.

well actually, i may give ovechkin the nod because this guy kinda looks like a pansy when he scores and does his figure skating twirl.
I didn't want to include that because it was in a skills competition, but yeah that move he did there was sick. Ovechkin's was going full speed during a game though, so you've gotta give him big props for that.
