I think that we are seeing the real Turnbow here.
Turnbow was pretty hittable in the high minor leagues giving up 77 earned runs in 129.2 innings during his 2 years in AAA. His major league numbers (prior to 2005) showed a lack of control, too - 59.2 IP/46 BB.
IMO the Brewers will come to regret signing him to a long-term deal after one (albeit impressive) year. The Angels might have been wrong about Bobby Jenks, but they were right about Turnbow. A flash in the pan.
