The Angels just swept the D'Rays, but I'll tell you, Lugo (and Crawford) made it tough. Lugo was just on fire every game. When we got him out the last game, it seemed like a miracle.

I am wondering if a move to the Red Sox or Mets would be a bad thing with him playing so well.

Question marks with both potential teams:

Mets - Would he bump LoDuca in the number two hole? Or hit as far down as eight, drastically reducing his value.

Red Sox - Same question, but in the leadoff spot. Could he supplant Youklis and become a run scoring machine with Ortiz and Manny behind him?

Tell ya what...I just dealt Rollins (one of my 6 offseason keepers) away in one deal to add depth to several areas of my teams and then turned around and made a deal to bring me Lugo for pennies on the dollar compared to Rollins. The way Lugo's looking right now I think I upgraded my offense in the process. It's obviously a long season but Lugo's in a serious groove right now and there's no guarantee that Rollins gets hot the rest of the way like he did last year.

Mets, and Red Sox may hurt his value. I'd rather him stay in Tampa and be a kinda veteran presence or be traded to the Blue Jays, whom needs a SS and a leadoff hitter.

It's a contract year and he's making up for lost time... but he was nearly a one man wrecking crew. Other than Crawford, nobody else on the D'Rays was doing much of anything.

I agree, he is looking to get paid in the offseason. Huff was contributing, but they shipped him off while his value was high (also contract year). They way the moved Huff makes me think Lugo has a good shot to go.

I really see him being traded hurting his value, especially if he moves to the NL.

Any D-Rays homers have some insight???
