Peavy trade... championship contender now?

I posted this in the trade forum, but someone mentioned it probably would be better here.

I just picked up Peavy for Ray. I was losing W and K a lot because five closers were clogging up my pitching spots... does this make my team a possible championship contender, or am I still short?

not just yet. id move dan uggla while hes hot and you can still get hot value. i think you definetely need another good SP becuase your SPing looks weak to me especially with hudson struggling like he is.

I agree. I just moved Uggla for Willis and Gary Matthews (who I needed to package in a deal for Ortiz), and you do need SP still. How big is your lead in saves? If you can afford to give up some more Saves, I would see what you can get for Uggla/Turnbow.
