Ben Sheets - Coming Off DL

I'm banking that this is is final comeback from DL this season. Traded C. Zambrano during the All Star break.

I need him to come back big for the rest of the season....

I don't know if that was the smartest move in the world. Lots of people around here believe he will end up right back on the DL in a few weeks. While I'm hoping thats not the case, I sure as heck wouldn't be putting that much faith in him. Hope you have a backup plan...

While I think Sheets will be good when he returns, I am not sure I would have given up C Zambrano to rely on him either......

Yep it is a gamble but I still have a couple of good SPs and he was part of a Deal that brought Thome and Bay into the lineup.

Can anyone confirm whether he's going to start on July 24 or July 25? It's a huge issue for me, as July 24 is "this week" in my league, so I need to activate him today if that's the case.

Milwaukee has a day off on the 20th. That means that Ohka, assuming he is okay, will be ready to go on the 23rd. They can send Jackson down (or to the bullpen), and Sheets should be able to pitch on the 24th. I see no reason, barring a setback on Wednesday's AAA start, that Sheets wouldn't start on the 24th. In fact, if they were to decide to start him a day later, that would throw the rest of the staff off. That being said, I doubt you'd be able to get confirmation of that until after Wednesday's start.

you might as well activate him. It's not worth tthe risk to not activate him.

2nd rehab start

He needs to go 90 pitches and add 3 MPH to his fastball next time out and then it should be full steam ahead with the Brew Crew.
