I am utterly fed-up with Stuart Scott. His desparate attempts to be black actually make me feel sorry for him. I can picture him as a kid being teased by everyone, shouting "Whaz up, G" and "Big Ups to all my homies" trying to emulate pop culture.
I met him, Micheal Irvin and Sean Salisbury at a bar I worked at during the Super Bowl in Jacksonville. I was also working for ESPN Radio in Jax at the time. Let me tell you, he is even more annoying in person. And watching him trying to use his standing to pick up women was absolutely classic. He tried to be cool and say things like "Yeah, me and MJ are real tight" and "I get free tickets to any event I want." Funny thing was most of the woman saw right through it and were just near him to talk to Irvin, who is hilarious.
They hung around after last call and I had a few beers after work and ended up talking to them and it some how came up where they asked me who my favorite ESPN anchor was. I said, half jokingly, "Not you." He couldn't tell if I was serious or not, it was great. I followed that up with, "Kilborn or Olberman, there not fake, they are just themselves" You should have seen his face.
I swear I just want to give him a little rap on the side of the head to try and straighten up that eye thing for him.
He is so blatently fake and trying way to hard. I can imagine athletes laughing at him in front and behind his back, talking about his "Street Cred."
Basically I'm complicated.
I have a hard time taking the easy way
I wouldn't call it schizophrenia
But Ill be at least two people today
I always took his attitude as sarcasm, to a certain extent. I would assume he knows he has no 'street cred' since he wears a suit everyday. Stephen A Smith gets on my nerves.
I can't stand Stu...but I'll throw my hat in the Linda Cohn ring for worst sportscenter anchor. Not because she's a woman, just because she's terrible.
Stuart Scott reminds me of a kid from my school (who happens to be black, but that really has nothing to do with it). This kid was ASB President (only because the lowerclassmen thought he looked cool when he made his speech). He would always walk around, saying things like "Change the world brotha," "What up dawg?" and other stuff like that. However, when you sat down with him to have a real conversation, he had nothing to talk about. But you realize people like Stuart Scott are phonies because they continually try to act 'cool' and really don't have much of a personality.
BTW, I liked the Sportscenter from the mid to late 90's... It was more to the point, and didn't have as much garbage loaded into their program as they do now. There is way too much analysis that I don't really want to hear.
i couldnt agree more. Stu is sooo anoying. He spends more time using analogies or slang then he does actual tsalking about the gamre.
i cant stand him <img src=/forums/images/smiles/kiss.gif>
Stuart Scott is horrible. I declared it man-law to mute the TV every time he spoke during the NBA Finals. Stephen A. Smith stinks too. ESPN as a whole is goin downhill IMO. Here is a hilarious video of a couple guys heckling Stephen A. at the NBA draft. Steee-phen, Steee-phen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAB5lOIl ... a.%20smith

Hahahahahaha, that is hilarious.
You have no frame of reference, Donny. You're like a child who walks into the middle of a movie...

He's good except when he is blatantly stealing from blogs and then denying it. But I mean, why should we care about that?
