Beltran leaves game with an injury

Postby Chip1010 » Fri Jul 14, 2006 4:38 pm

Please be nothing big, please be nothing big . . .

From Rotoworld:
Carlos Beltran left Friday's game in the sixth inning with an undisclosed injury.
We're guessing this has something to do with Beltran's stretch to reach first base in the ninth inning of the All-Star Game. Endy Chavez took over in center field. Jul. 14 - 4:32 pm et

Carlos Beltran was forced from Friday's game after a rain delay because of soreness in his right knee.
Beltran bruised the same knee and missed a couple of games last month. He might have tweaked the knee in the ninth inning of Tuesday's All-Star Game. Should Beltran be forced to miss some time, Endy Chavez will play center field. Jul. 14 - 4:44 pm et

It is nothing to be concerned about. The rain delay gave him an opportunity to rest because the game was in hand and they do not play again until tomorrow night.

I think you are right, Keith Hernandez and the announcers are recapping the game and they arent even talking about him being removed. They were talking about what he did in the game and Keith Hernandez' outlook on him in the 2nd half and how he appeared at the plate today. No sense of urgency at all

I really hope he's okay too. I doubt he'll reach 30 SBs this season. I'll be happy with 20.

As for the profanity, I would much prefer someone to curse as opposed to satirize a domestic abuse situation with his banner. I don't know what mindset you're in to tell others off.
