HR League Help!!

Postby Guest » Fri Apr 26, 2002 4:13 pm

OK guys...HomeRun league, manager with the most HR at the end of each month until the All-Star break wins some cash. Had to pick a group of core players and also 6 free agents who weren't on the lists. I now have the option of dropping a FA and picking someone up that nobody else has. Below are my free agents and some guys doing well that I could pick up. Let me know what to do. Thanks!

My FA: Burkman, Burrell, Chavez, Drew, Dunn, Nevin

Available FA: Gibbons, Grieve, Cameron, Encarnacion, Everett, Ventura, Stevens, Hillenbrand

All things considered, I'd probably stay put, although the decision whether to keep Dunn is a tough one, the way he's been playing. There's no single must-have standout among the available guys, though. If you're fed up with Dunn or can't afford to be patient, drop him for Gibbons or Grieve; if you think he'll turn it around, give him another month. The rest of the guys you picked up are solid and should put up excellent hr numbers (assuming Drew doesn't miss any further time).

I agree, Dunn for Gibbons.

Gibbons was hot, and he's young, he definitely has potential, but I'm not sure about his consistency, be prepared to drop him for another hot guy soon!
