It seems like only a matter of time until Flash is traded & is used as a setup man.What are the thoughts on the board here as to who is going to be the Phils new closer.I don't care for Rhodes but he will probably be the choice,Any thoughts ?

If the Phils stay in contention, I don't see Flash being moved. He's a good closer.

For the Phils to sell him off means the wheels have to fall off. They would have to lose most of their games. So at that point, it wouldn't matter who the closer is because he would get almost zero opportunity.

There's alot more unstable situations at closer in the NL than in Philly. SF, ARI, HOU, MIL, CIN, ATL, FLA, did I miss any? If you're looking for surprises, maybe you should look more at those teams.

Probably because the rumors I've heard mention teams like the W.Sox & Yanks.

why dont you check the trade rumors thread in the leftovers section...it doesnt make any sense for the phils to trade gordon when hes a relatively cheap option for the next 2 years. they're just going to have to sign a new closer at the end of this season anyway, not to mention that there are ZERO other options on the club right now.
