just from what I read at CBS, the Rays are moving him to 3B and moving him up to the biggs to start as soon as he's comfortable.

does he keep his SS eligibility if he comes up at 3B?

(I guess my question is in general, but in specific, I am talking about standard CBS rules - whatever they are..)

I'm in Sportsline league and Eligibility under Player Profile has him at SS. I dropped Barmes for him.

thanks Billy. I see and agree with that - just wondering since the rules, as I understand them, are that you are eligible after 20-something+ games at a position LAST year, and/or 5+ games at a position THIS year. Whilel it says BJ is an SS, he played no games last year at any position for TB, and will play 3B when he comes up this year.

I just dropped Felipe Lopez for him, though I will be playing Rollins there in the meantime.

Upton has stated that he expects to be up in 'days' rather than weeks. Since the team plans on waiting until Upton is comfortable I'd grab him now if you're planning on grabbing him.

if it's "old news", then where is the answer to my question whether he will have SS eligibility?

If it's a standard Yahoo league then he has SS eligibility all year.
