1B Dan Johnson optioned to AAA Sacramento, OF Milton Bradley activated from the disabled list. Nick Swisher now full-time 1B in Oakland.

Ouch.

I really thought Johnson could turn into something special. We'll see how that turns out later on, I guess.

i know some transactions are here in the leftovers, but mostly for talk about big moves. i would definitely say this is a player update not a leftover....all these wrong forums ;-7

Johnson was hitting .291 with five homers, seven doubles, 17 RBI and 15 walks in 103 at-bats since the start of June.

I'd say Johnson was doing very well after his horrible start.

I think Oakland is making a stupid mistake. He is a much better player than Payton.
