Astros placed third baseman Morgan Ensberg on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to Monday, with a right shoulder contusion.
A much better idea than relegating him to pinch-hitting duty, which is what they said they'd do prior to Thursday's game. Ensberg will get a chance to find his swing in Triple-A, and there's a good chance he'll be back in 15 days. In the meantime, Aubrey Huff will be the everyday third baseman.
