What's the difference between signing him as a free agent, and trading a guy who is gone after this year for him? Why would it matter how you get him? Either way you lose Soriano, and Tejada has no reason to go to Washington unless he was forced there in a trade, so I don't know why steroid rumors would change

well id trade soriano somewhere else obviously.

Not entirely true, but more to the point, the odds that Tejada or Soriano reside within the city limits of either Baltimore or DC are just about 0.

This is not actually as ridiculous as it sounds, b/c many Cubs high profile deals have worked out nicely for the dealees...Lou Brock, Nomar this year, CPat, etc.
