when someone gets deactivated, the team has 7 days to trade him, so yes that could happen, but this deal doesnt intrigue me in the least as ponson will suck like usual and the yanks will be out for another SP soon anyway.

Why are all the teams in the AL East picking up crappy pitchers who used to be Orioles? :-?

I'm expecting Matt Riley to be signed by the Jays if this trend continues :-b

Fact is, Yankees have a terrible pitching staff. Mussina is the only guy who can be counted on. After that, Wang has been alright.

Randy has been very inconsistent and closer to a number 4/5 starter than the number 1 he's supposed to be. Wright is on and off, and never gets past the 5th or 6th inning. Chacon is terrible and has been removed from the rotation.

The staff is awful. :-P
