Nope, in fact he very well may get signed with the DRays long-term. Upton has been moved (at least for the rest of 2006) to third base and will likely be called up within the next couple weeks.

While it could still happen if the DRays get blown away by an offer I doubt that the Mets will give up enough to get Lugo. They need SP more than an offensive upgrade right now.

Don't get me wrong, I love Lugo (got him on my team) and I know he'd be great at the top of that lineup. I just don't want to see Gonzalez leave. His glovework is amazing.

I'm sure he'd help the Sox. No question about that, so if I was in the same division I wouldn't want him to come to Boston either. I just really like Gonzalez at short. He's so fun to watch.
