The AL better thank Ozzie for not putting him in the game. NL would've broken the streak. When I was watching the game I saw Redman warming up...I didn't understand why Ozzie would even have him up. He probably started throwing on his own just to make it look like he was going to get called into the game

I could be wrong, but wasn't the ASG game always played in the first few days of July (i.e. halfway point of season) up until a few years ago.

Maybe the term is a leftover from the last few decades.

What? You don't agree that Glavine had a very impressive back-end last year? Sure it wasn't as stunning as John Santana's back-end in 2004, but you don't see back-ends like that very often.
