I dropped Daniel Cabrera for Steve Trachsel today. I would like try to package a couple of my middle of the road closers to see if I could get a young stud closer like a Ray or Ryan or a guy like that.

I also dumped Dan Johnson for Casey Blake.

i like your moves. i probably would have went with Jennings over Trax but ok. I also like DeRosa and A. Gonzalez. As far as Josh Johnson goes, I don't think he is a keeper yet. I think he is pitching over his head now.

I actually lost out on Adrian Gonzalez by a couple of minutes. The GM who grabbed him now has 3 1B which kind of makes me mad.

I also lost out on Jason Jennings.

I really like DeRosa and Insler is one to watch...he's slowly moving up the Rangers batting order which can only help him produce better numbers.

Yeah, im thinking of trying to package Cantu with another player for maybe a SP or young RP then calling up Ian Kinsler to play 2B.

I like the moves i have made and hope to see positive results this week. I will probably post an updated roster later this week with so many changes since the All-Star break.

I'm not to familiar with keeper leagues so I don't want to give to much advice. That being said, I think Johnson is pitching slightly over his head. He's a good player but he's not yet a keeper.

You have a good team but definetly try and lose Wickman. Not only is he a crappy closer but he's old.

I don't necessarily agree with that. I have him on one of my teams so I've been watching him very closely. He's always had solid stuff. His biggest problem was and still is control. He's improved on that tremenously this season. I think that because of his control, he wasn't necessarily ranked as well as he should have been. Showing a lack of control longer than expected as well as setting the minor league record for hit batsmen would scare some people off and lead them to grade him lower than he actually is. He's really come together this season especially in the starting rotation rather than as a reliever. He's also done most of his pitching as a reliever which may not be his forte but as a starter right now, he's been amazing. He has some nasty stuff right now. I'd give him a minimum of 3 more starts to see how he turns out before thinking about whether or not if he's a keeper. He's definitely cooled off in his last few outings but still pitching solid ball. Johnson is pitching his life out right now and he's only 22 to boot! Give him a few more starts before you start to look at him.
