Will Bobby Crosby have a better 2nd half?

I keep waiting for Crosby to break out, There was some talk of him being the American league MVP in the preseason, but he's not lived up to the hype at all since his rookie season. The A's are usually a 2nd half team, does anyone think he will break out in the 2nd half or is he just not that good ?

Like an idiot, I targeted Crosby in the Draft. Baseball Forcaster did a feature on his sub-par season on Monday. Looking at all of the data, it doesn't look at this point like he'll rise from the ashes like a Phoenix.

"Crosby is still attempting to hack his way out of his miseries. To be fair, hand injuries – one on opening day and one in early June – are likely factors here, but Crosby’s 50%+ GB rate is now a year and a half old, and it also plays into his inability to generate power. Crosby’s LD rate remains down, and his poor BA is fully supported by his xBA (.230).

You choose to belive this analysis or not. It looks and sounds about right to me. I suffered through the first few months of the season. I'm not letting him take me down any further.

His career #s are odds. It's likely 1 of 2 things... (1) He's playing injured, or (2) The scouts have discovered a weakness in his swing, as they tend to do with most rookies, and he hasn't been able to adjust. I don't follow the A's closely enuf to know which it is.

What kind of a league are you playing in? I mean why you still have him is beyond me.

I am in a very deep keeper league, and I drafted him his rookie year. I kept him because he was rookie of the year and looked to have a very bright future. I kept him through all the injuries and now that he is playing everyday he's not doing anything, I know the second I drop or trade him he's going to catch fire. plus there is no free agents at ss worth picking up in our league.
