How do you feel about the Huff trade?

It seems like we got the bad end of the deal on this one. We are still paying 1.6 million of his salary too. :-o

Maybe, I am looking at this wrong though. Any thoughts?

i like it, upton moves to third and will proabbly be up in 3 weeks b/c of it. Also, Hunsicker knows the guys in the stros and knows who is good and what there ceiling is, if we were going to trade any team for minor leaguers i was hoping it was the stros' since he knows so much about them.

The salary does not bother me, as we have some money as attendance is up quite a bit this year. I just wanted more in return for Huff. I think we could have gotten a bit more if we had waited it out on him. The players we got are interesting and could help out in the future, but I was really wanting a better pitching prospect even if it was just a reliever.

My thoughts exactly. Huff is pretty much the hottest hitter in baseball. The Astros have a good number of better pitching prospects than Talbot. Oh well....

I agree on trying to get a better pitching prospect, but if Zobrist is good defensively, and with Lugo and Huff gone and Upton being a 3B now, having a good defensive SS is fine if you get the offense elsewhere.
