Andy Marte Getting a Shot in 2nd Half?

Postby bcb » Wed Jul 12, 2006 4:41 pm

From KFFL
Jul 12 The Lorain Morning Journal's Jim Ingraham reports Cleveland Indians 3B Andy Marte may be called up by the team at some point during the second half, with the club spotlighting Marte in the final month as preparation for 2007. "We want to get Marte up here at some point. It's just that there are movable parts and pieces prior to that happening. I prefer it not just being September. But he's still a work in progress as well," Indians general manager Mark Shapiro said.

Is Marte worth keeping an eye on? What sort of numbers can we expect from him?
