Why would someone pick Pelfrey over Weaver? What am I missing here? Weaver has been a complete stud.....IN THE MAJORS!!!...Pelfrey was a stud........IN AA!!!!!! Pelfrey might end up better, but all 5 of Weavers starts have been better than Pelfeys 1.

Have you ever watched Weaver pitch? Now try that delivery yourself and see if it feels comfortable. Injury is a risk, also hitters will figure his delivery out and well, having a brother named Jeff who's also all stuff but no brain doesn't help either.

So if Pelfrey and Weaver were both sitting on the waiver wire right now, you would choose Pelfrey? I don't believe that. Jared Weaver makes Jeff Weaver look like Ozzie Canseco! You really think because he is Jeff Weavers brother that that decreases his value? Ba!
1. Jared has no injury history
2. Has a very solid major league sample to look at
3. I wish I was in a league where owners get scared of funky deliverys, I could get some good pitchers for cheap!

I think he's in a dynasty so long term value goes first. Even with that considered I ranked Weaver first with a warning.
1)Yes, Jered has no injury history, but neither did Dan Meyer before last year, it can come at any time.
2)No he doesn't
3)in a redraft or just keeper with few keepers I'd go with Weaver but in a dynasty or a league where you keep like 10 minor leaguers, I'd still go Weaver, but just by a hair and if anything goes wrong he's back on the WW

It's not close. Weaver doesn't have a true outpitch and all of his stuff is slightly above average. Pelfrey has a plus-plus fastball, a plus-breaking ball, and a work-in-progress change that has plus potential but is only currently average. In a keeper, Pelfrey without question. For a non-keeper, Weaver.
