Peavy heating up?

Postby Madison » Thu Aug 21, 2003 12:13 am

Another good game for Peavy:

7 innings, 6 hits, 1 bb, o er, 7 k's, and a 1-0 lead.

Seems like he's been pitching very well lately. :-? Definitely someone to keep an eye on.

The bullpen blew it for him and it might cost them the game.

Yeah, he did well in the Battle of Suck. He shut down the Mets. And R.A. Dickey shut down the Tigers.

I know he has pitched well lately..but I still can't trust him in my line up....he is just too inconsistent for me....

I will agree that he is a good deal for $1...I was basing my opinion on a 5by season league....which I still have the same opinion.... ;-)

I admit that I had Peavy on one of my teams this year. Early on his k numbers looked really good and I picked him up. Ended up dropping him later on, but have kept an eye on him since. Had the Padres gotten Giles/Kendall, I was going to grab him and stash him, just in case. :-)
