Ok, I'll nominate Freddy Sanchez as a "surprise that will continue to surprise."

No, he's not going to hit .360 for the rest of the year, but I think he can legitimately hit .310-.320 for the rest of the year with runs and rbis that would project to 85-90 for a full season.

How about Dan Uggla? Think his production will go down or stay the same?

My guess is he will come down a bit but be very solid. I do think he is the real thing and will do very well next year.

Yeah, I agree. Decent topic, and if you don't like it you don't have to read it. By the same token, you put Pujols name on a list like this one, you're just asking for a little bit of abuse. I was awed by Pujols throughout the first half, but I can honestly say I was never surprised by it. We all know he's going to have lengthy stretches like this throughout his career. That's not the same as predicting these precise numbers going in, or expecting him to necessarily keep it up.
