Nomar would be a good pickup, but he is one of those players I am scared to trade for in the middle of the season. I'm always afraid of injury or a drop-off. If you can get him for a price you are comfortable with, go right ahead.
I think your starting pitching is pretty solid. Plenty of guys that will win you games and give solid K numbers. You might look for the owner that is most desperate for saves and try to get good value for a guy like Benetiz or Julio.
Maybe you can find a way to sell someone on Francoeur, Ibanez, or Johnson and try to solidify your 1B or OF/Util spot. You have plenty of talent and will likely do well with who you have, but it might just take that one extra guy to make the run to 1st. Bay, Crawford, and Glaus are a good foundation. If you can get a 1B thats slightly under the radar like a Konerko, Dunn, or Delgado, it will allow you some more flexibility with Huff. It also might not be a bad idea to target some solid AVG guys, and this is where Nomar can help as well.
I do agree with dealing a D-Ray and I agree that Cantu should be the guy. I've run into the same problem myself on a team where I have Lugo and Crawford, but want Huff or Baldelli. How many D-Rays are too many?
Good luck to you. I think you should be able to at least maintain a solid 2nd or 3rd place and could be a player away from #1.
