Do you guys think he will come back healthy? What round do you see him going next year?

I doubt he comes back this season and makes a huge splash....Wrist injuries have got to be one of the tougher injuries to come back from in baseball. Look at D Lee...He hasnt been himself since returning from his wrist injury...
I think Matsui will be a steal in next years draft. I've always liked him as one of the more underrated fantasy players out there. He's not really a great head2head guy, but he is a solid roto player.

I think he'll provide the Yankees AND fantasy teams a boost in the last month of the season.

Someone dropped him when he was supposed to be out all year and I stashed him in an open DL spot just because of how good he is. It looks like it will pay off because he's expected back in a month (August 15) since his rehab went better than expected.

If he's available and you have an open spot, stash him now! ;-D

I agree, next year he could fly under tha radar if people are comparing stats for their drafts.

Another article from 07/08/06 says:
"The Yankees are also without outfielders Gary Sheffield and Hideki Matsui, who are both out with left wrist injuries. Matsui hopes to return in mid-August, while Sheffield has targeted Sept. 1 to rejoin the team."
