It looks like the Padres were able to turn an extra $28 million into a 3.5 game lead and an extra $10 million into a 5 game lead. That Towers guy is a genius!

Imagine what he could do with another 30 million.
Besides the entire division is practiaclly over .500, and the Pad's still have the 2nd best record in the league.

The Jays would be in first place in the NL Central or the NL West. They are stuck in third place b/c they don't play in a sucky division :-t
