John patterson out again

Postby kingmike74 » Sun Jul 09, 2006 5:47 pm

Is it time I give up on him for this year. I cannot afford to have another Dl SP.

Left today with sore right forearm, not good I feel.

Same thing that happened to him earlier in the year, same thing that has Harden on the DL. He should be done for the year, could quite possibly end up having Tommy John. In short, trade him now if you can get anything, and if not, put him on the DL until you hear how long he's out for.

You think it will be DL time for sure?

based on his last couple of starts, I gotta say he's gonna end up in the DL soon. What's the point of pithching someone who's not totally healthy? As we can see in his last couple of games, he can't go very far.

No matter what, he may have to go on the DL, because DC's reliever's arms are going to fall off by August at their current pace.

And it's not like DC's a contender this year. <2IP performances kill a bullpen.

What's the news on this guy? Is he going to the DL or what? I can't believe we haven't hear a peep since he was pulled from his last start. :-/

I still haven't heard anything but I think Yahoo pulled the arrow from his scheduled start day. This is killing me in a short week. :-t

Rotoworld wrote:John Patterson, who had to be removed from Sunday's game against the Padres after only one inning, received a cortisone shot in his injured right forearm.
It sounds as if Washington doesn't want to use Patterson again until he's 100 percent. "This is going to be something right now that has to be addressed," manager Frank Robinson said, "and we have to shut him down until he's well, period. That's it."

Hopefully he gets better...

They are going to have to place him on the DL for awhile.

I know CBS isn't exactly correct on their information, but they speculate Patterson being shut down for the rest of the year.

The Cortizone shot in the arm should be a sign to everyone that Patterson could have some real problems later if they don't shut him down now.
