Why does every broadcaster seem to think that Andruw's shoulders are "coming apart at the seams" from the years of playing centerfield? He is having a good season so it's not like there is a power outage going on that needs to be explained away. Nor have I heard Andruw talk about them hurting or needing rehab exercises or surgery or anything. The guy isn't even 30 yet and all of a sudden he's only got a few bullets left in the gun? It's not like he is the first guy to ever play a hard nosed outfield for ten years in the big leagues. Anyone want to shed some light on this?
He is having some type of shoulder problems right now, nothing serious from what I've read/heard/seen. However I've seen him get shoulder massages on the bench right before games. But I dont think it's any long term problem, just normal wear and tear. He's still the best CF in the game.

I've heard similar comments, but only on national broadcasts. I've not heard the local broadcasters mention it even once, and I watch almost all of the games.
The national broadcast teams (both FOX and ESPN) know about as much as the ESPN studio guys, which is next to nothing.
I don't think Andruw is having any problems beyond the typical aches and pains of a long baseball season.
I don't know where these national broadcasters get their info. If their was a serious problem about Andruw's shoulder, he probably would've mentioned something about it if it was serious and would be getting check by specialists on a consitent basis. The way he's been playing, it doesn't look like it to me that he has a serious shoulder problem.

Torii Hunter might dispute that claim.
Vernon Wells anybody?
I said it before and I'll say it again, Andrew Jones is the best CF in the game! 8 gold gloves in a row, silver slugger award, lead MLB in homers and RBI's. On pace to put up close to the same numbers. Hunter and Wells are good, but ask any MLB manager Jones is better both at the plate and in the feild

According to Protrade.com Beltran and Edmonds are both better this year... Protrade takes the craziest stats available to compile these numbers. I mean they have charts that show you that nobody runs on Edmonds, the amount of runs he saves on people not trying to advance bases on him or making great plays is quite amazing.
