NEW YORK FIRST BASEMAN CARLOS DELGADO LEFT THE GAME IN THE BOTTOM OF THE FIFTH INNING WITH A BRUISED LEFT HAND.
anybody see this? is it serious?

I know he was hit by a pitch earlier in the game. I would assume that it started swelling or hurting worse. Just a hunch.

Carlos Delgado left Saturday's game in the fifth inning with a bruised left hand.
Delgado got hit in the hand by a pitch in the second inning and was removed for a pinch-hitter three innings later. Julio Franco replaced him. Delgado is day-to-day.
