If Rios comes off the DL on the 1st, do u think he will play right away from the way Johnson and Hinske have been? Unless they play Hinske on 1B since he is available there as well, but Overbay has been hitting pretty good to. I guess we'll see in do time, but I think that the Blue Jays can't afford to sit someone like Rios, if he's 100%, out since the are in a close wild card race.

OF Alex Rios played right field Tuesday night for Triple-A Syracuse in his second game of a rehab assignment. He went 1-for-3 Monday as DH.


but I've read a couple articles saying that he may be splitting some time with Reed Johnson when he comes back, which makes no sense to me. Play them both for crying out loud. I think the OF should be Wells, Rios, and Reed.....

Outfielder Alex Rios hit an RBI double in his first at-bat of a minor league rehab game at Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday. Rios played five innings and finished the game 1-for-3.

Rios has played three rehab games and is scheduled to play one more before rejoining the Blue Jays for Friday's game against the Athletics.

I've got him on my bench right now. With an outfield of Wells, A Jones and the red hot Rivera, plus Adrian Gonzalez at Utility at Coors Field this weekend, I don't see what else I can do.

Looks like a good decision today - Rios is 0-3 so far.
